Cleaning up the flywheels

The flywheels on a 6HP Herc are 28" in diameter. Much larger and they would not have fit in the blast cabinet. Thankfully they fit as this made for a much easier day.

Here the flywheels were cleaned in the parts washer and set in the blaster.

The journals and throw were taped heavily with duct tape and electrical tape.

Clean as a whistle! You can see some of the casting flaws in the bottom of the rim. A little Icing will rectify.
